While hardly anyone foresaw that Bran Stark would end up as ruler of Westeros at the end of Game of Thrones, one star was on the money years ago.

And no, it wasn't the Three Eyed Raven himself, Isaac Hempstead Wright, but Brienne of Tarth actress Gwendoline Christie.

The star has shared an ExtraTV interview from 2017, where along with co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau she was asked about her tip to take the Seven (now Six) Kingdoms.

While the Jaime Lannister star predicted the likes of the Daenerys Targaryen and Night King, Christie wasn't on board.

"Don't you think it's going to be someone out of left field?" she suggested to her colleague. "Don't you feel like those seem like the obvious choices, and what we know about the show is it constantly surprises you?

"So I'm wondering if it might be Bran. Just because we keep seeing the world from his perspective. We keep seeing the visions. So is he the future projecting in the past?"

Coster-Waldau argued that her choice "doesn't make sense", saying that Bran has "already seeing into the future and the past".

"The story might not be in chronological order," Christie mused, her co-star then pointing out that means Bran made Jaime push him out of the window back in season 1.

Well, whether the prediction that Bran would actually end up as King made sense or not, Christie nevertheless called it correctly. And we thought Bran was the one with greensight!

While the choice of Bran winning the game of thrones has been divisive, star Hempstead Wright has defended the decision amid criticisms that the Three Eyed Raven didn't actually do much in the final season to earn the spot.

Game of Thrones aired on HBO in the US, and you can also catch up on the show via Hulu. Viewers in the UK can catch up via Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
