From Digital Spy

We can imagine the people working on Shane Black's The Predator reboot writing up the casting call and it looking something like this:

WANTED: Actors/actresses with experience of on-screen dying or dismemberment in grisly and brutal ways. Driver's licence not essential, but preferred.

Alfie Allen's Game of Thrones character Theon Greyjoy might not be dead (yet) but as far as losing body parts goes, you can't get much better (or worse) than having your willy lobbed off.

That's why we weren't surprised when The Hollywood Reporter reported (as they do) that Alfie has been cast in the Predator reboot.

Other cast members include Logan's Boyd Holbrook, The Punisher's Thomas Jane and X-Men: Apocalypse star Olivia Munn. So basically a Thrones actor and a bunch of superhero alumni - isn't that every film nowadays?

As we mentioned above, The Predator will be directed and written by Shane Black of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3 fame. All are amazing films so we are very much excited for this one.

And it looks like the director isn't going to sacrifice his style to make a grim and gritty film either, telling us that his movie will indeed be "fun".

Hoping for lines like this to be honest:

The Predator is scheduled for release in 2018 and will be rated R - all thanks to Deadpool.
