Gang of teenagers attack and rob group of adults in street ambush
A gang of teenagers attacked and robbed a group of adults in a street. Officers received a call that on Sunday, August 4, there was report of a robbery near to Boston Avenue, Runcorn.
The caller said at around 11pm the four adult victims were walking down Halton Brow, near the underpass of the Central Expressway that leads to Boston Avenue, when they were attacked from behind by four teenagers. The suspects were believed to be 15- to 16-years old and included one girl and three boys.
A handbag was stolen during the incident but the gang discarded it as they fled the scene, in the direction of Castle Rise. The girl was described as having blonde hair and was around 5ft 5in tall.

One of the boys was described as having ginger hair and was around 5ft 8in tall. The further boy suspects were wearing balaclavas. One of the victims sustained a broken ankle during the incident, while the other victims suffered cuts and bruises.
DC Gemma Nicolson said: “Enquiries to trace the suspects have been ongoing since the incident and we are now appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward. The same goes for anyone who has any information which may aid in identifying those responsible, or any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.”
