A gang of thugs pounced on two teenagers while they were walking through an underpass in Glasgow.

The male victims, aged 17 and 18, were with two other friends in Yoker on Tuesday night when a dark-coloured car pulled up near them on Kelso Street at around 7pm.

Three people emerged from the car armed with weapons and attacked the teens.

The victims were rushed to hospital with serious injuries to their heads and wrists, while the suspects fled in the direction of Greenlaw Road.

Officers are now trying to hunt down the violent culprits, who are described as males, aged between 16 and 18 years old, dressed dark coloured clothing with hoods up and their faces covered.

Kris Elliott, of Drumchapel CID, said: “This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are eager to trace those responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen these suspects, or where they went after the serious assault, to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3190 of Tuesday, March 28, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
