Garbage Truck Explodes After Hitting Overpass in Indianapolis

A garbage truck in Indianapolis, Indiana, burst into flames shortly after the top of the truck slammed into an overpass on November 28.

Mark Salcedo Jr owns the surveillance camera that captured this video, and told Storyful this has happened before.

“I have maybe 5 to 10 videos in my saved gallery of similar situations,” he said.

The video shows a blue garbage truck drive toward the overpass and hit it. Debris can be seen falling to the ground. Shortly after, smoke appears in the underpass before a bright explosion.

According to local news outlet WTHR, the driver was not hurt.
