Garden tools worth £2,000 stolen amid Axminster crime spree

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery from a van in Axminster. Around £2,000 of garden tools were reported stolen from a van parked on Musbury Road, Axminster, between 9.30pm and 10pm on Monday, September 9.

Officers were also alerted to similar incidents in the town on the same evening between 9pm and 10.30pm, including criminal damage to a van in Woodbury Park.

Devon and Cornwall Police are keen to hear from any potential witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV footage that could assist with enquiries, and urge any further victims to come forward.

The force said in a statement: "Police investigating a report of robbery from a van in Axminster on Monday, September 9, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. It was reported that garden tools worth around £2,000 were taken from a van parked in Musbury Road, Axminster, between 9.30pm and 10pm.

"Officers have also been made aware of similar incidents taking place in the town on the same evening between 9pm and 10.30pm, including a report of criminal damage on a van in Woodbury Park.

"Officers are keen to hear from any potential witnesses or from anyone who may have CCTV footage that could help with enquiries, and for any further victims to come forward.
