Gary Lineker and KSI spotted filming at Southend Airport
Some huge celebs were spotted filming a new advert in a busy Essex airport. Both influencers and former professional footballers have teamed up to launch UK and American versions of Baller League in 2025.
Baller League is a six-a-side format set up Germany by entrepreneur Felix Starck alongside footballers Mats Hummels and Lukas Podolski, and is now heading to the UK and US. KSI, who has 24.8 million YouTube subscribers, will be president of the UK version with streamer IShowSpeed named as president of the American league.
Football legends Gary Lineker, John Terry and Luis Figo have been lined up as team managers, while Micah Richards, Alan Shearer, Freddie Ljungberg, Jens Lehmann and Robert Pires have also been signed up as coaches. Baller League UK is due to begin on March 3 2025 and will take place every Monday until May 19 on indoor football pitches with 12 teams competing.

The top four teams in the league will qualify for the play-offs to decide a champion. And how did they reveal the launch of this new game coming to the UK and US?
Of course, they filmed the advert at Southend Aiport! KSI and Gary Lineker are seen in the new advert, alongside other members of the Sidemen, Chunkz and Tiktok sensation Angry Ginge, kicking a flying football all around the departure lounges.
London Southend Airport said of the advert: "Can confirm... an airport for football legends. Watch the all-new trailer for @BallerLeagueUK below, filmed on-site at London Southend Airport. It's too good to miss!"
