Gary Lineker has saluted the extraordinary feats of Cumbrian marathon man Gary McKee.

The former football star and Match Of The Day presenter responded to an appeal to spread the word about McKee's incredible charity running efforts.

McKee, from Cleator Moor, is running a marathon every day this year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice at Home West Cumbria.

And Lineker, on Twitter, acknowledged McKee's remarkable challenge as "amazing".

The BBC presenter gave a further boost to the Cumbrian's attempt to raise as much money as possible for two important Cumbrian causes.

He has already raised more than £146,000.

McKee, 53, has 138 marathons to go to complete his incredible endurance challenge.
