Former 'Gavin & Stacey' star Sheridan Smith confirms she's pregnant with her first child

Sheridan Smith appears to have confirmed that she’s expecting her first child with fiancé Jamie Horn.

The former Gavin & Stacey star first sparked rumours that she was pregnant back in October, when she reportedly told a bunch of cruise passengers that she “had a baby on board.”

She also posted about suffering from ‘morning sickness’ on Instagram, but when fans asked her outright in the comments section, Smith made sure to adhere to the phrase, ‘mum’s the word’.

In a more recent post however, the West End favourite left nothing open to interpretation as she shared a photograph of a white baby blanket with ‘Baby Smith-Horn’ embroidered on it in silver thread.

“This is too cute,” she captioned the image. “Thank you so much @my1styears very lovely surprise.”

Emmerdale actor Hayley Tamaddon replied with her well-wishes, writing: “Congratulations, darling. It’s the most amazing thing in the world” while supermodel Erin O’Connor said she was “over the moon” for Smith and her partner.

Fans were thrilled by the announcement too, as one fan wrote: “You’re going to be a beautiful mum sweetheart, I’m so happy for you my heart could burst.”

“Awh congratulations to one of my favourite actresses and performers,” another added. “How lovely!”

“Oh my God great news you will be an amazing mum… congratulations to you all,” a third chimed in.

A few hours after uploading the reveal, Smith took to her Instagram Stories to thank everyone for “all the lovely messages.”

Smith, 38, began dating 28-year-old insurance broker Horn four months ago, after they both swiped right for each other on the Tinder dating app.

A source close to the couple previously told The Sun: "Sheridan is head over heels in love. Jamie is very serious about her. He has introduced Sheridan to his mum already."
