Gavin & Stacey star says movie a "distinct possibility"
It's been seven and a half years since the end of Gavin & Stacey, possibly the breakout sitcom of the late noughties.
Since then, there's been plenty of talk about a reunion in the form of a new series, a TV special or even a movie.
Writers Ruth Jones and James Corden have stated plenty of times there won't be another series, especially with Jones working on her sitcom Stella and Corden doing everything from A League of Their Own to The Late Late Show and Carpool Karaoke, would they even have the time?
So that leaves a TV special and a movie – and recent comments by Larry Lamb suggest that the latter could very much happen.
The actor, who played Gavin's dad Mick in the show, told the Daily Mail: "I think it's a distinct possibility that one day, they might make a film, that's it.
"That's purely conjecture... It's got a huge audience, so I'm sure that's what they'll do.
"I don't think anybody that was in it would ever say no to it."
He also repeated Jones's statements, saying: "I think it's highly unlikely that they'll ever make another television series of Gavin & Stacey."
Rob Brydon, who played Uncle Bryn, recently pushed for a reunion, especially since 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the show's debut on BBC Three.
