Gavin & Stacey's Rob Brydon 'bewildered' as show axed
One of the most popular stars of Gavin & Stacey, Rob Brydon, who plays Uncle Bryn in the hit BBC sitcom, has taken to Instagram and told fans he is "bewildered" over a show cancellation. Brydon, who is also known for his roles hosting Would I Lie to You? and who also appeared in the Barbie movie, featurred in the Amazon Prime series My Lady Jane.
He played Lord Dudley and said he was "bewildered" the show has now been cancelled. Posting a photo of him on set he said: "You might have heard that, rather bewilderingly the splendid @myladyjaneonprime was recently cancelled meaning of course no second season. 'What can I do?' you may ask... Well, there is a petition afoot, please feel free to sign it, I'd love to wear the tights again. And the earring."
Many fans were gutted to see the historical fantasy romance series cancelled. One said: "You are joking, it was so good. I'm going to sign x" and another added: "This needs a s2! Can't believe it got cancelled!" A third said: "It was brilliant!! Can't understand it being cancelled" followed by an angry emoji.

Recently Brydon has been very busy and he and the rest of the Gavin & Stacey cast returned to Barry Island to film for the final ever episode of the show. Christmas 2024 will see the last ever episode of Gavin & Stacey air.
