Strictly Come Dancing contestant Gemma Atkinson has ruled out any romance on the show this year… at least for now.

The former Hollyoaks star has been swamped with rumours she's dating Strictly professional Gorka Marquez, reportedly causing tension with Gorka's dance partner Alexandra Burke.

However, Gemma rubbished all the talk, telling The Sun: "There's no truth to any reports about any of us falling out.

"I think because we all get on, people have to create drama. I know people want to see a Strictly romance but I'm not going to be giving you any, I'm afraid, because I'm so focused on my dancing.

She added: "Maybe once the series is over, but not right now…".

As for possible romance with Gorka down the line, the actress added: "We'll see what happens. I have a big girl crush on Debbie McGee, though. Her body is amazing!"

There have already been multiple denials of Gemma and Gorka dating since the rumours first started swirling, with Alexandra saying last month: "You literally can't believe anything you read. You can't believe those kinds of things".

She added on This Morning a few weeks ago of tabloid reports that her and Gorka had fallen out as a result: "The shame of it is, because we're all having such a wonderful time, all the pros and celebs, we all get along like a little family. To read that is actually quite heartbreaking.

"It's hurtful to read things like that that aren't true, but then you have to go, 'It's the nature of the beast', and unfortunately these things happen."

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight (November 18) on BBC One at 6.46pm for its famous Blackpool Week. You can follow along with the whole thing as it happens with our fabulous live blog.
