Gemma Atkinson says Gorka Marquez 'gutted' as 'smoking' all-leather display has him 'rushing home'

Gemma Atkinson has been flooded with compliments after her all-leather display during a rare night out left her beau Gorka Marquez 'gutted'.

The Hits Radio host was among the stars descending on Manchester's Co-op Live on Sunday night (November 10) for the iconic MTV EMAS. The music awards ceremony, hailed as one of the largest TV broadcasts across Europe outside of Eurovision, was hosted by Rita Ora in the city and featured big-name guests, performances and surprises.

This year's winners included Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Liam Gallagher and there was also an emotional moment as host Rita appeared to be tearful as she paid tribute to One Direction singer Liam Payne following his tragic death last month.

Among those hitting the vibrant red carpet as a special guest on the night was Gemma, alongside her Hits Radio co-host Mike Toolan. But it's fair to say all eyes were on Gemma (sorry Mike) as she marked her upcoming 'naughty forties' era by slipping into a sensational all-black leather outfit.

Taking to Instagram ahead getting ready for the awards ceremony on Sunday, Gemma spoke about her reservations about her outfit choice after it was presented to her by stylist Ryan Kay. She said in a video posted to her Story: "I'm off to the EMAS which is really surreal because I used to love the MTV stuff as a young adult. I loved it and they're in Manchester!"

She went on: "Ryan's chose a look which at first, he sent it me and I went, 'Oh no. No, no, no'. And he was like, 'Babes listen, you're nearly 40, you've got two kids, that doesn't mean you have to stop looking like this. You just have to go with it!' And I thought you know what Ry, you're right! It's my naughty forty era and when you see my outift later you'll all understand."

She laughed as the video ended before she shared a clip of Rihanna's 2010 music video for her son 'S&M'. Alongside the clip she wrote: "Here's a clue... hence my reservations [crying laughing emojis]." She then added: "Gorka's fuming he's in London for some reason," alongside another crying laughing emoji.

Gemma has now returned to social media on Monday (November 11) with a string of pictures of her final look. The former Hollyoaks star looked sensational in a leather black midi dress which boasted a plunging neckline, buckle straps and laced-up splits down either side. She wore her hair in a gorgeous up-do and later added black gloves and a long black leather jacket which she wore slung off her shoulders.

She captioned the post featuring the pictures to her millions of followers: "MTV EMA’s. Needless to say, I looked nothing like this on today's school run. Styling @ryankaystyles Glam @emmyclarkson Outfit - @mitiliane.couture Coat - @karen_millen Gloves - dune." Gorka was quick to respond as he cheekily said: "Trying to make train to mcr go faster," alongside a number of love heart eyes emojis.

The flame emojis were also a frequent occurance in the comments section as her fans and followers rushed to respond. @soph12mjb said: "You look gorgeous." @lisadaryl138 commented: "Just wow.. if I wasn’t already girl crushing on you before I bloody well am now haha you look amazing!"
