Rami Hawash, who is engaged to The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins, has announced the devastating news of his dad's passing on social media.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Rami shared a picture with his late father, both looking dapper in suits. He captioned the moving image: "I have no words. You was the BEST dad in the world. Today heaven gained the best Angel #restinpeace."

Fans and celebrity pals, including Gemma herself, immediately flooded the comments with messages of support, the Mirror reports. Gemma penned a message, sharing: "Lovely man Ram. I never forget how he loved to watch Mirander." Co-star from Towie, Saffron Lempriere, also expressed her condolences, simply writing: "So sorry for your loss," alongside a red heart emoji.

Among the waves of reactions, one Instagram follower paid their respects noting: "So sorry to hear this sad news. Your father's spirit lives and surrounds you all forever." Another follower wrote words of comfort: "Oh Rami, this is so sad. Sending you all my love always."

The news comes as Gemma and Rami are currently planning their wedding. The pair originally got engaged 11 years ago but parted ways, only to rekindle their relationship during lockdown. Just a week ago, on the Everything I Know About Me podcast, Gemma revealed some of her life’s struggles, opening up about tragically enduring three miscarriages.

Gemma Collins provided a devastated recount of her heartbreaking experiences with miscarriages, during the challenging first lockdown while she was still in a relationship with James Argent.

She shed tears during an intimate chat on Loose Women in 2020 as she shared the profound pain of losing a baby with "someone I loved very much". She honestly stated to the panel: "It's not easy to fall pregnant. I did suffer a miscarriage, which was really sad, during the lockdown period."

In another distressing admittance, Gemma narrated her experience of misfortune in 2012 when she had a premature birth at home which is still difficult for her to talk about. On her podcast, she openly confided: "I actually gave birth to a child, sadly, and basically the child was four months old."

She continued: "Basically I had a miscarriage but obviously the baby was formed and it died in front of me. I had to go to the hospital and my mum was there. I can remember my mum being really upset, I was in shock, I was upset.

"That was really a shocking moment for me. But this is what I'm saying, I can talk about it now. Things sometimes are not meant to be." It comes as she has recently mentioned her plans to seek help from a surrogate mother.
