Gemma Collins has said her fiance Rami Hawash may never regain his full sight after a horrific accident and has told how she has been nursing him through his recovery.

The Towie star had had an on-off relationship with Hawash before their engagement, but has told how she is fully committed to sticking by his side whatever the outcome of his injury is.

Collins, 41, told Metro that things had changed for her since being single when she was free to come and go at any time, and that she was planning her days around supporting Hawash.

She said: "In the morning I’m a nurse, then I go off and sing for Chicago, then I come back and I’m bathing his eye, sticking blankets on him every minute of the day, plus I’ve had to water the plants in my garden, get food shopping in."

The reality TV star described her partner as being "really shaken up" and "in excruciating pain" after an accident at work, where he owns a car mechanical repairs company, affecting his eye and nose that left him in need of surgery and with horrific-looking injuries.

She said: "We hope that he’s going to get the sight back in his eye, but I did reassure him that if he went blind or if he was going to lose his eye, that I’m still going to be with him because you don’t think about all those things."

Adding that "we still don’t know if he’s going to gain full sight in his eye", she said she had been quick to reassure Hawash, who she announced her engagement to in December, that she would stay with him.

She said: "I love him with an eye, without an eye, whether or not he gets his sight back. So there’s been a lot going on emotionally as well, but we make sure to support one another."
