Exactly one year on, and millions of views since Gemma Collins' (unbelievably relatable) fall from the stage at the Radio 1 Teen Awards, the star of The Only Way Is Essex has celebrated her slip-up in truly epic style.

Gemma was presenting an award last year on the show when she famously fell from the stage and went crashing to the floor.

Although it was a scary experience for the reality show favourite, she's now made a triumphant return to the Teen Awards – this time poking fun at her on-screen plummet with an epic skydiving skit.

During the Teen Awards, Gemma was seen in a helicopter several thousand feet above Wembley, preparing for a skydive – complete with pink jumpsuit, a safety helmet with her own 'Gem Cam' attached and... an inflatable unicorn (of course).

However, when they cut back to Gemma later in the show, she was heard telling the crowd she was "stuck on the roof" of Wembley Arena after attempting to skydive into the show – and had pretty much everyone watching fooled.

She shouted down the microphone to the crowds below, "Hold on, I think I can wriggle free if I move my unicorn. Okay, I think I'm good. Look up, everyone. Here I come!"

The audience screamed with concern as a pair of legs dangled from the ceiling, and 'Gemma' appeared to free fall to the stage.

Fortunately, the prank was planned out as Gemma, safe and well, waved to fans afterwards – this time ascending from a cloud of dry ice below the stage.

Gemma even puts her rekindled relationship with TOWIE co-star James Argent down to the embarrassing moment – and it seems he agrees, as he sent out a tweet to mark the anniversary of the incident and crown Gemma as the #RealityQueen.

We might be seeing even more of The GC's slips, trips and falls soon, as she'll be featuring as a contestant on the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.
