Gemma Collins reveals Dancing On Ice nap-gate rumours left her 'throwing up on the ice' as she still 'waits for apology'

Gemma Collins has revealed that she is still waiting for an apology from a Dancing On Ice co-star who “lied” about her going missing backstage.

TOWIE star Collins insisted she had “calls and texts” confirming that she didn’t head off for a nap during rehearsals for the ITV show last Sunday, after rumours spread about her backstage antics .

Collins claimed the unnamed co-star left her “distressed” and “throwing up on the ice”.

She told ITV’s Lorraine show: “I’m going to be honest, I was throwing up on the ice yesterday. There were lots of tears, my family were very distressed. Obviously it has caused nothing but endless pain.

"Did I want to give up at one point? Of course I did. I couldn’t believe the hate, the trolling and everyone turning against me for stuff that wasn’t true.

“We sort of know where the rumours come from but we’re trying to get the person to admit it and stand up and apologise. They definitely didn’t’ see me. I’ve got text messages, I’ve got voice messages confirming I wasn’t asleep and that I never said I was bored.”

But, despite the drama, Collins vowed she won’t quit because she has “worked too hard to throw it all away”.

Comparing herself to the champion boxer, Collins said: “No way I’m not quitting, I am the Conor McGregor of the ice. I will not defeated or beaten down. I’m coming out on Sunday Conor McGregor style.”

However, the star – who is partnered with Matt Evers – did hint at the lingering drama as she branded the show “blade wars” with “everyone at each other”.

On Monday, presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield told This Morning viewers that Collins had “held up rehearsal” on Sunday the day before because she had been “having a nap”.

But sources close to the star claimed that she had been left “devastated” by the rumours and thought it was a “conspiracy to take down the biggest star”, according to The Sun.
