Her boyfriend and fellow Only Way Is Essex star James ‘Arg’ Argent posted a video of their post-show curry, during which Collins is sitting with her leg up, and a bag of ice draped over her knee.
She says she’s in ‘absolute agony’ in the clip.
A later video shows her knee red and swollen with bruises on her legs.
“Gemma’s legs terrible, look,” he says. “All round her knees, they’re in a bad, bad way. This one isn’t so bad, but that one I’m worried about.”
Gemma took a tumble during her routine with pro-skater Matt Evers, though quickly got to her feet again, beaming from ear to ear, to complete the dance, performed to Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now.
“My heart completely sunk [when she fell],” Arg told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield later.
“I’ve just been with her backstage, she’s crying her eyes out, she’s in so much pain and she’s covered in ice packs.”
Despite the fall, she received her highest score of the series so far.
Her newest fan, Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan, also had words of encouragement for her, in response to one Twitter user calling her fall the ‘comedy moment of 2019’.
He tweeted: “Actually, the gutsiest thing I’ve seen on any talent show for years. Fell flat on her face, probably hurt like hell in every sense, but got up again & received her best score. Bravo.”
