Gemma Collins has opened up about how lost two stone in just six weeks.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, the former Dancing on Ice star revealed she’s been using weight-loss injections - otherwise known as ‘miracle flab jabs’ - as she gushed about the hormone-based anti-obesity treatment.

“The lady who does it opened up a shop near me, so I just popped in there one day,” Collins explained.

“I was like, ‘Oh, what’s this all about?’

“Anyway, I said just give it a whirl and that’s it. Three stone later, I was happy as Larry. You take the jab and the fat just melts away.”

While presenting Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 7 August, Collins clarified that she’d actually lost two stone, not three and that she’s already put the weight back on after stopping the injections.

“I’ve put a bit back on because I’ve been on holiday for weeks and weeks and weeks and I’ve totally been overindulging,” she said.

According to the NHS website, researchers at Imperial College London, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the University of Copenhagen recently undertook a four-week study that saw 15 people who were overweight and had type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes receive the “infusion.”

It is estimated that the participants lost around 10lb over the course of the trial.

As Collins launches her own reality series, Diva Forever, this week, her team have confirmed that she won’t be appearing in the new series of The Only Way is Essex despite having starred in the trailer earlier this year.

“Gemma is so busy with work at the moment, she just hasn't had time to give TOWIE her full attention, so she's made the difficult decision to pull out,” they told The Sun.

"She's just filmed her own show, which saw her go to America, and is working on various other lucrative projects including her music career with Naughty Boy. She was really trying to fit the show in, and even filmed the promo, but realised it just wouldn't be possible to do a full series.

"Of course everyone is really disappointed - fans will be devastated she's not returned to TOWIE as she's the big star and everyone tunes in to see her."

Gemma Collins: Diva Forever continues on Wednesday, 14 August on ITVBe at 9pm.
