Jeremy Corbyn has criticised the Government's 'woeful' response to the recent widespread flooding in northern England.

Speaking at a rally in Blackpool on Tuesday, Mr Corbyn claimed it would have been "a very different story" if floods had happened in Surrey rather than Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

Meanwhile, tributes to the former Labour health secretary Frank Dobson have been flooding in after his family confirmed his death on Monday night, aged 79.

In other news, Nigel Farage has faced an intense backlash from dropped Brexit Party candidates after announcing that the party would not stand in 317 Tory-held seats.
