George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s new movie sets new streaming record
George Clooney and Brad Pitt's new movie Wolfs has set a streaming record.
The film is now the most viewed movie on Apple TV+ ever after it premiered on the streaming service last week.
Deadline reported that Wolfs, directed by the Spider-Man Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy helmer Jon Watts, bolstered viewing figures by nearly 30% week-over-week.
Although Apple doesn't provide specific figures, Apple Original Films' head of features Matt Dentler shared: "When George, Brad and Jon approached us with the idea for Wolfs, it was an easy call — a crackling, fun movie starring two Oscar winners who everyone knows are iconic together.

"Now, audiences have chosen in droves to make Wolfs part of their weekend, making the movie a global blockbuster. We always consider Apple TV+ to be the home for the world's most talented artists to create and deliver their best work, and it's exciting to see audiences embrace that so overwhelmingly," he added.
It was reported over the summer that Apple had already signed Watts on to direct a sequel even before the original film's release.
Wolfs features the two actors as a pair of 'fixers' who are hired by the wealthy to sort out their problems. They're forced to work together, despite preferring not to. A multiple Oscar-winning actor also stars, although you never see their face.

The film was originally supposed to have a wider cinematic release than it did before its streaming debut, something that Clooney admitted he was disappointed by.
"There are elements of this that we are figuring out," he said (via Deadline). "It is a bummer, of course it's a bummer.
"On the other hand a lot of people are going to see the film and we are getting a release in a few hundred theatres, but, yeah, it would have been nicer to have a wide release."
