George Shelley pays poignant tribute to his late sister as he visits her grave

George Shelley has once again opened up about his late sister, Harriet, in a poignant Instagram post last night.

The former Union J star took to social media after visiting Harriet’s grave, telling the 21-year-old midwifery student that their mum had made her “bed” look “beautiful”.

Harriet tragically passed away on May 6, just over a week after she suffered serious head injuries in a car accident in Bristol.

George shared a close-up photo of his sister’s grave, focusing on a heart ornament that read: “For my beautiful Harriet, ‘made by me’, love and miss you millions and so, so much more.

“All my love, mummy xxx”.

He wrote alongside the image: “Mum has made your bed look beautiful sis, it’s gorgeous just like you.

“Miss you. I love you x”.

The star also shared a full image of Harriet’s grave on Instagram stories, showing that it has been covered with beautiful flowers as well as angel statues and pine cones.

George captioned the image with: “Make everything okay please, baby girl.”

Harriet was laid to rest on 24 May and George was a huge part of the day, penning an emotional song that he performed at her funeral – moving mourners to tears.

The lyrics recalled their childhood together and the singer poignantly dubbed Harriet his “guardian angel”.

George has only publicly opened up about his grief once before, sharing a photo of himself kissing his sister on the cheek one week after her death.

He wrote at the time: “I will never accept that you’re gone. You will always be with me.

“My best friend, my sister, my angel. Too pure and too beautiful to walk among humans, you now exist somewhere else, and I am honoured to have had the privilege to spend 21 years with you by my side.

“Don’t get used to it up there without me, I’ll see you soon beautiful girl. I love you Harriet.”
