A Costco in Sandy Springs, Georgia, limited the number of customers allowed in the store at one time on Monday, March 16, as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state grew to 121.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms revised her order limiting public gatherings from 250 people to 50 people. Of the confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the state, Clayton, Cobb, and Fulton counties reported the largest increases in cases. Among those testing positive was actor and part-time Atlanta resident Idris Elba.

They wrote: “Thank you #costco for being socially responsible for people’s safety.” In a comment, they added: “They were sending people inside the store in a way that the store wouldn’t get overcrowded to satisfy social distancing. Very thoughtful act.” Credit: @behnaztat via Storyful
