Love Island's Georgia Harrison has said she is "feeling empowered" following ex-boyfriend Stephen Bear's conviction in a 'revenge porn' case.

On Tuesday (December 13), a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court found the former Celebrity Big Brother winner guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films of his former partner (via BBC News).

Bear will be bailed until January 31 when he will return to the court to face sentencing. He told the court that it was "never a fair trial" due to alleged media bias against him.

Bear's lawyers had denied he was responsible for uploading CCTV footage online of the couple being intimate in his garden from 2020. Harrison maintained she had no idea the encounter was being filmed.

In response to ex-Just Tattoo of Us host Bear's conviction, TOWIE's Harrison — who waived her right to anonymity — said: "Bear's behaviour was completely unacceptable and those who choose to commit such crimes should and will be prosecuted.

"I hope me taking a stand gives other men and women who have fallen victim to revenge porn the courage to seek justice and most importantly show them that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.

"I have felt ashamed, hurt, violated, even broken at times but today I stand here feeling empowered, grateful and a huge sense of unity with all of those who have reached out to support me throughout this ordeal."

During the trial, prosecutors argued that Harrison was only made aware of the footage after it was filmed and subsequently asked Bear to never share it with anyone else.

This CCTV footage would eventually end up on OnlyFans, though Bear and his attorneys insisted he was not responsible for the leak. He claimed he'd deleted the video in 2020 and hadn't sent it to others.

The former couple previously starred together on international reality show The Challenge: War of the Worlds and its sequel War of the Worlds 2. Both also appeared separately on MTV's Ex on the Beach UK.
