Geri Horner has responded to her Spice Girls bandmate Mel B's claim that they had a sexual fling back in the nineties.

Mel filmed an interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories recently, where she revealed a bombshell detail about how close the two had got when the Spice Girls were just starting out in the industry.

When pressed by Piers about rumours that Mel and Geri had once got together, Mel nodded and smiled, adding: "She's gonna hate me for this!"

But what has Geri said in response?

Further speculation followed Mel's interview with Piers, and Geri's reps have told the Daily Mail: "It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother's Day of all days.

"Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family," it continued.

"Moving forward, Geri can't wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories."

Elsewhere, the girl group's manager Simon Fuller has teased that there's a Spice Girls animated film in the works.

He said: "What's coming next is that we are going to be doing lots of exciting things. We'll be making an animated movie and there's lots of exciting plans to come."

Pretty vague, we know, but for fans this should be music to your ears.
