Geri Horner and Gary Lineker are among the stars hoping to educate the nation’s kids as part of a new series called Celebrity Supply Teacher.

Made for CBBC and BBC iPlayer, the show will see a host of famous faces teaching kids on their specialist subjects during coronavirus lockdown.

Spice Girl Horner will be giving tips on creative writing, having authored a series of children’s books, while Gary Lineker will teach Spanish, a language he became fluent in while playing for FC Barcelona and living in Spain.

Speaking about the programme, Horner said: “I absolutely love writing – it’s a passion, so sharing the power of words on CBBC was a lot of fun. Together we can transport ourselves and create exciting magical stories.”

Elsewhere, Ed Balls will be covering history, The Chase’s Mark Labbett will be teaching maths and Glee’s Matthew Morrison will be sharing his insight into the world of musical theatre.

Celebrity Supply Teacher begins on Monday 8 June, with new 20-minute-long episodes airing daily.
