German Doner Kebab to reopen Glasgow city centre restaurant
A popular restaurant brand known for its German-style kebabs is set to reopen in the city centre this weekend.
To celebrate the relaunch of German Doner Kebab (GDK) Renfield Street on September 28, the company is giving away 100 OG Jr Doner Kebabs for the first 100 guests to celebrate the new opening.
Following a closure earlier this year to refurbish the venue, GDK, which has nine restaurants in Scotland, including two in Glasgow, will relaunch and be open late on The restaurant will be open late on Thursday to Saturday, from 11 am until 4 am and until 1 am on Sunday, catering for late student nights out.
As well as the giveaway, they are offering students an additional 15 per cent discount off food and drink (with a valid student ID).

If you haven't tried GDK is a Glasgow-based fast food chain with more than 100 restaurants around the world, that unsurprisingly serves up German-style kebabs or the "kebab of the future" according to the website.
Only using premium cuts of halal meat, fresh locally sourced salad, signature handmade sauces and their signature toasted waffle bread, the brand recently introduced the Secret Sauce Burger, in partnership with Heinz, Harry Pinero and Yung Filly.
Additionally, they offer vegetarian alternatives to the mains, the Boss Box, and the Doner Box, as well as the OG Jr and Jr Boss Box, as smaller versions of the classic products.
