German Doner Kebab restaurant opening new Somerset branch

More than two dozen jobs will be created by a new kebab restaurant opening in Bridgwater. German Doner Kebab (GDK), which is opening its 141st location and second in Somerset, has promised to provide 25 local jobs in the town.

The new franchise, which is 1555 square feet and will offer both sit-down and takeaway meals, will open at Northgate Yard at a later date. GDK CEO Simon Wallis said: “I am thrilled to officially announce plans to bring the unique GDK taste sensation to the town of Bridgwater.

"GDK is revolutionising kebabs across the UK and I am confident we will continue this trend in Somerset, following the previous opening of Weston-Super-Mare. GDK offers a premium dining experience with game-changing kebabs that are made fresh daily by our hard-working team powered by our fantastic franchise partners."

Mr Wallis continued: "We pride ourselves in ensuring that kebabs are done right and served in a modern and relaxed environment, making it a unique restaurant experience for all new members of the ever-growing GDK community”.

German Doner Kebab say they only use premium cuts of meat, locally-sourced salad, and handmade sauces. GDK will also be offering vegetarian options.

The new restaurant's opening date has not been announced yet and we will report on this when it has.
