You may have heard that a new Ghostbusters movie is in the works, but it seems like one actress certainly isn't pleased about the news.

Director Jason Reitman – son of Ivan, the original Ghostbusters director – is currently developing a follow-up to 1989's second instalment in the comedy franchise, which effectively sidesteps the all-female 2016 reboot.

Now, posting on her Twitter page, actress and comedian Leslie Jones – who starred in the 2016 movie – hasn't held back in a scathing attack on the upcoming Ghostbusters (with strong language and all).

She wrote: "So insulting. Like f**k us. We dint count. It's like something trump would do. (Trump voice)'Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain't ghostbusteeeeers' ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don't give f**k I'm saying something!!"

With comparisons to the hugely divisive US President and some class-A swears, you get the feeling that Leslie won't be buying a ticket once the new movie hits cinemas next year.

Although Jason Reitman's new ghostly caper is causing a stir about the rights and wrongs of glossing over the most recent movie, we must admit that the teaser trailer released last week looks really intriguing.

The Ghostbusters rumour mill has been open for business too, with the forthcoming film reportedly set to star four teenage characters. Perhaps these will be the offspring of Venkman, Spengler, Stantz and Zeddemore?

Ghostbusters 3 will arrive in cinemas next year.
