Gillian Anderson transforms into Bowie on American Gods
Gillian Anderson has transformed into the late great David Bowie for her turn as New God Media in the hugely popular – and sexy – new series American Gods.
As New God Media, Gillian's role takes on a number of famous faces, including Bowie's legendary Ziggy Stardust, who is sent to confront Technical Boy (that's another god, by the way).
Media has the ability to transform into any form they choose in order to manipulate the person around them, and this time it's the ever-changing Bowie who Media takes on.
Hoping to enlighten Technical Boy and relieve him from his ensuing identity crisis, Media – or Bowie – advises the god to think about his brand.
If you ever needed advice about identity, we reckon Bowie's the one to give it.
So far, Anderson's character has also embodied I Love Lucy's Lucille Ball, and we reckon there are many more famous faces to come – especially now that American Gods is up for a second season.
Just two episodes into its debut run, US channel Starz recommissioned its Neil Gaiman adaptation for another year.

The live-action adaptation of Gaiman's novel sees Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, an ex-con spirited away by the mysterious Mr Wednesday to unite the Old Gods for a coming war with the New Gods worshipped by modern society.
American Gods airs on Starz in the US and Amazon Prime in the UK.
