Detectives have launched a manhunt after a schoolgirl was sexually assaulted close to a adventure playground in Portsmouth.

A man grabbed her arm as she walked along a path out of Stamshaw Park on Monday, 29 August at 4.30pm.

He then made inappropriate comments before touching her over her clothing.

The girl managed to free herself but the man followed her.

He fled on foot once she reached Rudmore roundabout and called police.
