Girl, 11, left injured after 'Mercedes hit-and-run' crash
An 11-year-old girl was left injured in a 'hit-and-run' on Tuesday (October 15). Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.
The child was hit by a silver car, believed to be a Mercedes A-class, at around 3.40pm on London Road in Amesbury, Wiltshire. The vehicle was travelling from the direction of Tesco Extra towards Amesbury town centre, and failed to stop at a red light, police said.
The young girl was left with just minor injuries, Wiltshire Police said. They added that the area was believed to be very busy at the time, with members of the public rushing to help her.
