Girl, 11, missing after going to meet friends in Glasgow city centre traced

An 11-year-old schoolgirl who vanished after going to meet her friends in Glasgow prompting a frantic appeal by police officers has been found.

Lily Clark went missing at 2.15 pm on Saturday, August 31, when she planned to take the bus into Glasgow city centre to meet her friends.

Police updated their Facebook, confirming the child had been found on Monday, August 2.

They wrote: "Lily Clark, 11, reported missing from Glasgow has been traced.
