Girl Braves Downpour to Feed Dog During Mexican Storm

A young girl was seen feeding a dog during torrential rain in Guerrero, Mexico, during a five-day storm that battered the state and caused severe flooding in late September.

This video, captured by Mexican journalist Alexis Balbuena, shows the girl holding an umbrella as she gives food to the dog during heavy rain in Marquelia, on Mexico’s Pacific coast.

Mexican President Andres Manuel said at least eight people were killed “due to landslides caused by the heavy rains.”

Hurricane John made landfall as a Category 3 storm southeast of Acapulco on Monday, September 21, according to the National Hurricane Center. They reported that John was later downgraded to a tropical storm but continued to bring rain and flooding to southwest Mexico through to the Thursday of that week.
