Girls Aloud fans were moved to tears during the band's recent concert as they paid an emotional tribute to the late Sarah Harding. Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have come together after ten years for a sensational new arena tour.

Kicking off their tour in Dublin last week, the group opened their first show to an eager crowd. They've since graced the stage in Dublin and are now set to wow fans in Manchester.

The poignant moment came as the four members honoured their beloved ex-bandmate Sarah, who tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2021 at the age of 39. A touching video by a fan shows the group performing their chart-topping hit "The Promise."

As the song reached the verse traditionally sung by Sarah, her bandmates pause in silence. The audience was then treated to a video of Sarah singing on a screen, accompanied by a shower of gold glitter and confetti.

Sarah's image filled the stage, her voice ringing out with the lyrics: "So here I am. A walking Primrose. Wondering when I'm gonna see you again", reports Wales Online.

The tribute concluded to thunderous cheers and applause, with the band resuming their performance. The video, shared by Jeremy Hewitt on Facebook, has garnered over 250,000 views.

Jeremy captioned the post: "The Promise #missyousarah #girlsaloud," followed by a heart emoji. The comments section quickly filled with heartfelt messages from fans expressing their love and support.

Gary commented: "What a beautiful thing to do." Another added: "The girls are doing Sarah proud! Rest in peace Sarah."

Debbie remarked: "How beautiful. Gone far too soon. May Peace be with her. Gave me goosebumps." Kelsie confessed: "Wow this made me cry and cry. She was such a beautiful woman what a lovely thing to see."

Kerry said: "Omg made me really emotional... she was so beautiful." Lynn wrote: "Tears flowing - Beautiful and touching tribute to Sarah."

Not only fans and attendees have been moved; the band members themselves have experienced strong emotions during their tour, which is in honour of Sarah. On the second night of Girls Aloud's tour, Cheryl and Nadine were visibly tearful as they sang "Stand By You".

Social media user Themikeymoscow posted a video capturing the poignant moment, captioning it: "Cheryl absolutely breaking our hearts during I'll Stand By You at night 2 of #TheGirlsAloudShow in Dublin."

LeighAltree responded: "She looked to be struggling emotionally on both nights. Hope she's okay."

Paulafegan97 commented: "I was very near the back and I knew they were sad but I didn't realise they were this upset. I was in tears last night and I'm in tears again now watching this."
