Speaking to OK! Magazine, Kimberley opened up about her "special" family and what it's like raising three boys.

The star explained: "It’s quite special when you've got so many of the same sex. I have always been drawn towards boys, the male energy is a bit more straightforward and I always liked that."

She also mentioned that she grew up around a lot of boys and added that she isn't "the most girly girl" which she thinks might surprise people.

"Even at school, loads of my friends were boys and I'm not the most girly girl, which is probably surprising to some people because of me being in a girl band and all the glamour, but there's less guessing with boys," Kimberley added.

When deciding on the name for her newborn, the singer said that when she heard the name Nate, she knew it was the right name for her son.

Kimberley said: "There was a Nate in Boyz II Men and I've known a few people in the industry with the name and it's quite American-sounding, and so is Cole, so I felt like they went well together."

She also mentioned that she watched US TV shows and some of the characters were called Nate, including on How To Get Away With Murder, explaining that when she heard the name on the series it felt right to name her son the same.

"We said we wouldn't name him until we got home, but when we got back the boys were adamant that was his name! His middle name is also a J like them, as they're Bobby Jay and Cole Jacob," she added.
