An X-rated glamour model who bit off part of a woman's ear in a brutal road rage attack has been jailed for five years.

Chloe Hammond, 27, flew into a rage when she was told off by Julie Holloway for using her mobile phone while at the wheel of her Audi TT sportscar.

Shocking mobile phone footage captured the moment Hammond clamped her teeth down on Miss Holloway’s ear, shaking her head about “like a dog with a chew toy”, before spitting the severed flesh on to the pavement.

Hammond denied intending to hurt Ms Holloway, claiming she had suffered a "blackout" during the attack, but was convicted by a jury at Southwark crown court in October.

This morning Judge Philip Bartle QC sentenced her to five years for the attack, saying: "I'm sure you did not go out that day to do the appalling damage you did."

He said Ms Holloway has been physically and emotionally scarred, feeling "like a prisoner in my own home" and struggling to return to normal life.

"I'm so scared to go out because there are nasty people around, it's a consistent worry", she said in a victim impact statement.

The judge added to Hammond: "I accept you are genuinely remorseful for this appalling behaviour you exhibited, I accept what occurred was completely out of character."

Hammond, a professional glamour model who has appeared in a string of racy photoshoots and on X-rated TV channel BabeStation, lost her temper on March 19 while driving along the Embankment.

Ms Holloway, 56, spotted Hammond honking her horn and using her mobile phone while driving, tapping on her window to complain.

Hammond then got out of her sportscar and pursued Mrs Holloway, shouting and swearing before the two women clashed physically.

The model was caught on camera aiming a kick at Ms Holloway, grabbing hold of her hair, and then biting down on her ear until she tore off a piece of flesh.

Ms Holloway tearfully told the court: "I was in such shock that another human being could bite someone's ear off."

She has undergone reconstructive surgery to her right ear, but fears it will never be fully reformed.

The model drove off after the attack but handed herself in to police two days later.

She has been held in prison since her trial, and gave a little wave to her family sitting in the public gallery as she was led away to the cells today.

Hammond, from Rayleigh, Essex, denied but was convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. She had earlier pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding.
