In a social media post, the theatre said: "Customer announcement. We are sorry to say that due to cast illness today’s 2pm and 7pm performances of 101 Dalmatians have been cancelled.

"All customers have been sent an email and text regarding details."

Gutted fans took to the comments of the theatre's post following the news of the cancellation.

One mum wrote: "We managed to rebook for tomorrow. The notice was shocking. We had already left and my little girl devastated."

Another added: "Sad as was looking forward to it. Hope I can rebook."

A third asked: "Is there another day being added? The rest seem to be full to rebook."

The show, which is currently on UK tour, features former Steps star Faye Tozer.

It is scheduled to remain in Glasgow until Saturday, November 16.
