Last month, a popular Irish bar chain launched a fun new way to drink Guinness in both of its Glasgow pubs – and its quickly gone viral as a result.

Kitty O'Shea's has launched its new sharer glass for the Irish staple in its bars on Waterloo Street in the city centre and Great Western Road in the west end and it is massive. Staff at the chain say the 'Mega Pint' comes in at over seven pints full when poured and in the social media posts is shown to dwarf the standard pint glass.

The team at Kitty's, which is known for its live music and bustling atmosphere, have been sharing clips online showing of the giant glasses filled to the brim with Guinness and one of the videos gaining tens of thousands of likes and shares, and hundreds of comments.

According to staff at the Waterloo Street Bar, they are priced at £50, with drinkers also needing to pay an additional £50 deposit, which they get back when they return their glass.

We don't recommend trying to split the G on this one.

Drinks fans shared their delight at seeing the new offering, with several claiming they'd love to try it out by themselves, though as always both Kitty's and Glasgow Live would urge anyone to drink responsibly and share the Guinness with a friend or two as intended.
