Glasgow care home in festive cheer as residents star in Christmas video

A Glasgow care home got into the festive spirit by filming their own Christmas video.

Haydale care home in Tollcross voted on their favourite Christmas song in a pre production meeting. The residents got creative - thinking of ideas and setting up the scene for the music video.

The care home did a casting call, asking residents, staff, families and friends to join in filming on Friday, November 22. And the cast did not disappoint, all coming with Christmas jumpers, festive outfits and Santa hats.

There were also props and some glasses of wine to get everyone in the festive spirit, with filming lasting throughout the day with many different clips and scenes filmed.

Residents event took part in auditions to star in the opening scene where they got to shout "action!" to the camera.

The video will be sent to Advinia Healthcare's nationwide Christmas video competition and a special screening will take place at the home on Friday, December 13.
