Glasgow care home resident turns 99 in style with pink themed birthday bash
A Glasgow OAP has celebrated her 99th birthday in style with a pink themed party surrounded by her nearest and dearest.
Staff at Ailsa Craig care home, in Cessnock, organised a birthday bash to remember for Agnes Morrison. They arranged for her family to join the get-together alongside residents at the nursing home on Wednesday, October 2.
A few months previously, local entertainer Kat Muir visited the home to perform and Agnes loved it. She asked Fiona Pryce if she would be able to organise Kat to come along and perform on her birthday - and the senior wellbeing coordinator delivered.

The team planned a birthday party with a pink theme, Agnes' favourite colour. Fiona contacted all of Agnes' family who came together to celebrate the special day.
There was lots of singing, dancing and glasses of pink prosecco flowing. Agnes even performed one of her favourite songs The Rose with Kat which left party-goers in tears. She thanked everyone at Ailsa Craig for making her 99th birthday special.
Fiona said: "Planning and organising a party for Agnes was an absolute privilege. It was wonderful that so many of Agnes’ family and friends were able to attend too.
