Glasgow cat looking for forever home after spending 200 days at re-homing centre

An energetic cat is looking for someone to 'take a chance' and give him the forever home he deserves.

Six-year-old Milo has been at the Cats Protection's Glasgow Branch for almost 200 days after arriving terrified of human touch.

However, he has since turned a corner following the hard work of staff and is now desperately looking for somewhere he can call home.

Milo is described as being an entertaining cat with a lot of love to give. He requires an adult only home with no other pets and with direct access to outdoor space.

Julieanne Fitzpatrick, Rehoming and Welfare Assistant, said: “After so long in our care, we are desperate to find someone to take a chance on Milo and give him the love he deserves. When he first arrived, he was terrified of human touch but has completely turned a corner.

“He is a great cat with a lot of love to give. He does have high needs for enrichment which he loves, especially tunnels, and he is so entertaining to be around.

“Our team have been working tirelessly on a behaviour plan for Milo and we’ve seen huge improvements. He can still sometimes have a nibble or a scratch when he becomes frustrated, but he is coping so much better and has even become a bit of a cuddle bug!

“Our bond with Milo strengthens every day and he genuinely enjoys coming onto your lap and being made a fuss of, on his terms. We are committed to supporting any potential adopters with Milo’s behaviour plan and believe that being in a stable, loving home will help him thrive even more.

“He would benefit from an experienced adult only home with no other pets, and direct outdoor access to explore. He might also suit a farm home with indoor access so he can enjoy some human company.

“Milo is a lovely cat and is such a joy to play with. He has watched so many other wee cats find their forever homes, and we can’t wait for it to be his turn.”
