Glasgow Central Station assault investigated as police release CCTV image

Police investigating an alleged assault at Glasgow Central Station have released an image of a man they are looking to trace.

The CCTV image was released by detectives investigating the incident on September 5. Police said the alleged assault occurred around 7pm.

Police said the man may be able to assist with ongoing enquiries. The man is described as Asian and being in his twenties.

He was around 5'8" and had a beard. The man was wearing a light-coloured cap, a light green jacket, light coloured jeans and white trainers.

The image shows the man on a ScotRail train. A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "The man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2400112153.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
