Glasgow city centre road closures ahead as £115m Avenues makeovers continue
City Centre residents have been warned of phased road closures next month as the council continues the next stage of its Avenues Project.
The local authority has written to residents and businesses on Cambridge Street to advise them of the street closures that will take place from Monday, November 4 for three weeks.
The largest project of its kind in the UK with an investment of £115m, the Avenues Programme is expected to transform certain areas of Glasgow through a network of continuous pedestrian and cycle routes – with people at the very heart of their design.
