Describing the Four Corners as a challenging area for Police Scotland, Lawyer Stephen McGowan said Sexy Coffee's site would be covered by CCTV and staff would be serving coffee and tea.

The lawyer pointed out staff would be present and the outdoor area would be a "vibrant, clean" and "supervised space."

The venue near Heilanman's Umbrella is the second Sexy Coffee to open in the city after the first branch launched in Union Street.
