Award-winning Glasgow comedian Susie McCabe is set to join a host of stars for a gig in aid of a Palestinian theatre group which provides "safe spaces" for children, women and people with a disability.

A charity fundraiser at The Stand Comedy Club, on Woodlands Road, will see Susie - who recently won the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award - and comedians including TikTok stars Paul Black and Kim Blythe take to the stage on Monday, September 23.

Other names in the lineup include 'local legends' Rosco McLelland, Susan Riddell and Scott Agnew.

The two-hour show, from 8pm, will raise funds for Palestinian theatre company Al-Harah, a non-profit organisation based in the West Bank city of Beit Jala, Bethlehem.

The group runs programmes with children and refugees to process the trauma they are experiencing. Their work concentrates on providing safe spaces for children, women and people with disability and supporting artists in Gaza to work with children in displacement centres.

Promising 'a night of satire, stand-up and maybe even a song or two', the show is strictly for over 18s only, with tickets costing £16.50 (including booking fee).

All the money raised will go to Friends of Al Harah Theatre/Bethlehem CIC to support work with children and refugees in the ongoing conflict, and are available to buy here.

Doors open at 7am ahead of the show which kicks off at The Stand Comedy Club, on Woodlands Road, from 8pm on Monday, September 23.
