Glasgow cyclist 'breezed' through red light and pedestrian crossing while on phone

A Glasgow cyclist was caught running a red light and pedestrian crossing while on their phone.

The rider went through the pedestrian crossing in the city centre just as people were beginning to cross the road. They were stopped by officers from Police Scotland after the incident.

Road Policing Scotland shared the incident online and confirmed the cyclist was handed a fixed penalty notice by officers.

Posting on X, the force said: "The rider of this cycle didn't care to stop for the red light as they breezed through while using their phone - and right over the pedestrian crossing where people had started to cross.

"Rider stopped and issued with a #COFPN by #GlasgowRP in #Glasgow #CityCentre."
