Glasgow dad pays £7 for McDonalds drink and one sauce sachet in Deliveroo blunder
A Glasgow dad was left gutted after paying nearly a tenner for a coke and sachet of ketchup after a popular delivery company forgot his food.
Fraser Coull was left disappointed after ordering a McDonald's Quarter Pounder meal for his hungry wife on Deliveroo only to discover the driver had failed to deliver part of the order. The 40-year-old opened the bag to find only the drink and a single portion of ketchup had been provided.
Understanding there had been a mistake, he contacted support for the delivery company and was told they would only refund £5 of his £12.37 - meaning he had paid over £7 for sauce and juice. The dad, who escalated the matter to a manager, told Glasgow Live: "I had been working all day and my wife hadn't eaten because our son was unwell.

"I told her to get a bath and I'd get her a McDonalds. When the guy got there it was already late so I just took the bag. When I opened it up I realised that he had only given me the juice and ketchup and the whole meal was missing.
"At that point it was 11pm and my wife just wanted to go to bed and cry. The worst part was that Deliveroo just didn't seem to take responsibility."
Fraser escalated the issue and was told their experience had been 'duly noted' and apologised for any 'disappointment caused'.
He continued: "I was surprised. I think it's the most expensive coke and sauce I've ever ordered. I'm not pleading poverty but it's still over £12. It puts you off ordering."
Glasgow Live approached Deliveroo for comment and the company has since offered Fraser a full refund. A spokesperson said: "Our care team has looked into this issue and it has now been resolved. Fraser has been provided with a full refund."
