A thrilling new Glasgow food pop-up is bringing its mouthwatering selection of pies to a popular west end bar next month.

Nicky Redmond and Scott Duncan, the duo behind Papa's Pies, have teased the collab with the West Side Tavern on Dumbarton Road on Instagram, with it set to take place on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

Speaking about the exciting event, the two friends, who both have worked as chefs at some top establishments, said: "We'd always spoke about a gap in the market for good quality pies with a difference in the city, and more recently decided to make that happen.

"We created our logo and the name Papa's (inspired by Nicky's dad) and held a few pop-ups around Glasgow, and though we are still at the early stages, we have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback and excitement about what we've created so far."

The event will take place at the laid-back bar and eatery next to Kelvinhall Underground, with the menu already posted online and pies including the delicious sounding ham hock and Welsh rarebit pie and beef and ale pie with Yorkshire pudding and caramelised onion gravy.

While plant-based food fans can look forward to a tantalising sounding vegan cullen skink pie with smoked tofu.

Nicky added: "We hope to see you all at the West Side Tavern next month, and we can't wait to collaborate with Josh and his team at the best beer garden in the west end!"

Other items on offer include their nduja stuffed mini brioche with tomato jam and the dill pickled beef tomato salad with jalapenos and crowdie cheese.

There are also sides like the triple-cooked maris pipers and Papa's baked beans, as well as sauces such as the garlic aioli and Papa's wholegrain IPA mustard.

The pair held their first successful pop-ups at Rafa's and Ziques earlier this year, and we are sure this is set to be another belter.

One to watch, they've also teased that a Papa's Pie Factory will also be coming soon to Glasgow.
