Glasgow flat on Housing Horrors TikTok over 'worst shower in the history of Rightmove'

A flat in the southside of Glasgow has appeared on a 'Housing Horrors' TikTok page.

The one-bedroom rental property on Ledard Road in Battlefield, currently listed for a monthly price of £795 pcm, caught attention after it was labelled "atrocious" online.

The man behind the popular TikTok page, 'Housing Horrors', spotted the listing and believes it has the "worst shower in the history of Rightmove". He said: "The landlord has literally just got a metal pole, bent it and put a shower curtain round it.

"I'm sorry but you could not pay me £795 a month to live in this property or even use that shower - it's diabolical.

"The rental market in the UK is an absolute shambles".

The video has nearly 68K views, over 970 likes and 70 comments with people saying it's a "scandal to charge that kind of money", another added, "classic Glasgow".

However, a third said: "Absolute bargain for the southside of Glasgow" - with homes in the area know to sell for around 24% more than the city average.

The TikToker added: "This is definitely a very sorry state of affairs. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Do you live in Battlefield? Have you ever seen a property like this? What do you think about the shower-room? Would you pay £795 a month? Because I definitely wouldn't".

Listed by G4 Properties, part of the description reads: "This freshly decorated ground floor property, with double glazing, gas central heating, benefits from fantastic reception hall, front facing bedroom, open plan kitchen/living room and wet room.

"The property is in one of the South-side's most popular neighbourhoods and is minutes from an abundance of local amenities, including extremely popular coffee shops, restaurants and shops. Transport can be found on the doorstep via good bus and train links.

"Viewing is highly recommended."
